The main administrative authority of the city rests with the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICT) where as Capital Development Authority (CDA) which oversees the planning, development, construction, and other civic services of the city is a public benefit corporation responsible for providing municipal services in Islamabad Capital Territory.
Islamabad is a net contributor to the Pakistani economy, as whilst having only 0.8% of the country’s population, it contributes 1% to the country’s GDP. Most of Pakistan’s state-owned companies like PIA, PTV, PTCL, OGDCL, and Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd.are based in Islamabad. The city is home to many branches of Karachi-based companies, banks, and TV channels. Headquarters of all major telecommunication operators such as PTCL, Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone, China Mobile are located in Islamabad. Being the capital city of Pakistan, it provides a unique geographic position to investors which offer more returns on their investments.
The long awaited Islamabad new International Airport, being the largest in Pakistan, has become operational. This is the first green field airport in Pakistan with an area of 3,600-acre (15 Sq. km). It is only 20 km from Islamabad Zero Point.
Telegardens Scheme in Sector F-17, Islamabad was floated jointly by Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society (MPCHS) and Telegraph and Telephone Employees Cooperative Housing Society (T&TECHS). It is a joint name of both the societies for the development of Sector F-17/3 (MPCHS) & Sector F-17/2 (T&TECHS).
The Layout Plan of the scheme is also approved by the Capital Development Authority through its letter No. CDA/PLW-UP (90)/ MPCHS/93/600 dated 18.02.2005. Further more, the revised / as built layout plan of the society has also been approved by CDA vide letter No. CDA/PLW/HS(90)/T&TECHS/R.LOP/2022/37 dated 21st January 2022.
The Telegraph & Telephone Employees Cooperative Housing Society (T&TECHS) was registered on 25th January 1981 against Registration No. 4 under section 10 of the Cooperative Societies Act 1925 with the objective to layout, establish and maintain a residential colony with in the area of Islamabad for its members.
Society’s Head Office is located at Sector F-11 Islamabad whereas its site is at Telegardens housing project, CDA Sector F-17 off fateh jang road. The NOC of Tele Gardens Scheme is duly approved by Capital Development Authority vide its letter No. CDA/APLW/UP-HS (90) MPCHS Volume-III/2003/491 dated 30.01.2008.
As per latest circular issued by the CDA, the limit of Islamabad culminates at 17th series of the official sectors. The Society is catering the residential requirements of 1,500 plus members, evenly distributed in different sizes of plots as per CDA by-laws in a gated community environment with all the provisions of Electricity, Gas and Overhead & under ground water reservoirs.
